Tutorial To Create Your Own Facebook Group

Facebook has become one of the most popular social networking site, majority of the people have their accounts made on facebook and use it for interaction and social purposes. Making a group on facebook is a wonderful idea if you want to have a platform where you can share your views and ideas with other members of your group. There are groups made for several purposes, even the popular labels use the idea of making a group on facebook to get the feedback. My previous article was about to create a facebook page, remember that facebook group and facebook page are two different things.

Steps To Make a Group on Facebook

If you intent to make a group on facebook, here are few steps that you would need to follow.

1. The first step would be thinking of an original idea for the group name, stealing simply does not work.

2. In case you are one of those who still do not have a facebook account, signing up is the second step.

3. After you are done with this, type some keywords in the search box in order to get an idea of the fact that whatever you are planning to create  is original.

4. At the top there is an option of “profile” click on that and then go to the “info” option from your profile.

5. The next step is scrolling to the bottom, go the group section and click on “see all”.

6. Here you will see “create a group” option, click on that

7. Choose a name for your group. Make sure the name is appealing and your idea is innovative that would seem appealing to the masses.

8. Now invite your facebook friends to the group by adding up their name or just typing them in the provided space and click on each name.

9. Add a description of your group in the area provided. Make sure you provide the most relevant words that would match the search.

10. Add the contact information of your group, the email address that would be valid. You may also give the telephone number if you want to.

11. Next step is to choose your privacy settings, you may opt for any of them from the provided ones. They allow you to control the things and posts that are shared on your group.

12. Once you are done with all this, click on save.

13. Move up to the top of the group and choose the upload photo option and upload the image of your choice that is suitable for the group.

14. Next is choosing the network. For those who are using timeline, this option is yet not available.

15. Last step is to choose a category and sub category of your group. Make sure that you put in the correct category, it will help the audience to get your group when they search for a particular category.
